What is the project about?
The second phase of the project “Let’s Build a Home Together” commenced on 1 March 2017, as the EU entrusted the UNOPS with 1.5 million Euros to provide housing for up to 42 Roma families from mobile settlements. Until end of February 2020, the project envisages provision of up to 42 village houses where the families will be relocated.
The project is implemented in partnership with the City of Belgrade and in coordination with the European Integration Office of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the Office for Human and Minority Rights, the Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction Unit, as well as the National Minority Council of the Roma National Minority. It is aligned with the City of Belgrade Action Plan for the Resettlement of the Residents of Makiš, Resnik, Jabučki Rit and Kijevo Settlements (RAP).
